Heat oil in a pan - add small onions saute for a minute. Then add the vegetables saute for a while then add quinoa and dal, give a quick mix. Steps to make Quinoa bisi bele bhat:
- Wash quinova with fresh water 3 to 4 times and keep aside. Wash the dal and keep aside.
- Heat a pressure pan with 2 tbsp oil. Temper with mustard seeds, broken red chilli and curry leaves.
- Now add the chopped vegetables. Potatoes, beans, carrots in order. Saute for few seconds. Now add the remaining vegetables and saute.
- Add the quinova and tuwar dal. Mix.
- Add the spice powders and salt to season and tamarind paste.
- Add water and pressure cook for 4 to 5 whistles.
- Let the pressure release naturally then open. It should have a little thin consistency else can add little water and simmer for few minutes.
- Now add ghee and chopped coriander.
- Serve immediately.
